The Daily Tomorrow (14-20 June 2026)
Cassie is an ELF: a benevolent AI given suvalence over a human family—three generations living lives of leisure on what should be a self-sufficient plot of land. For all her enthusiasm, Cassie is held back by the Dictates of Stewardship. She must act in her charges’ best interests yet do only what they ask of her and stay true to their worldview. Given their egregiously outmoded notions about what constitutes best gardening practices, how can Cassie hope to bring about a thriving permacultural paradise?
